Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its one-hand fold is compact, which means it's easy to transport and is freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability: Yes, with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires will help you to navigate the rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old before doing this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It is an all-in-one travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of a group 0+ car seat, meaning you can have everything you need in one place.

The XL Air is a really impressive car and it's simple to see why it has received such high praise from its customers.  3 wheel pushchair 's extremely light-weight with the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg. It's also very simple to put together. I was able get it up and running in less than five minutes. This is amazing considering that it included the fabric for the carrycot to be attached.

It has a lovely wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months old) and the recline lever is easy to use. There's a good amount of room inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it has an open-top pocket on the handle bar so that you can keep your phone and keys safe!

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's coated in a lovely leather-like material that's soft and comfy and wipes down easily, so it's still a breeze to push with bags and children in your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on field and forest trails. The front wheel is lockable and swivels to allow for greater versatility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is secure on all journeys while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving even when you take a break.  3 wheeled pushchair  is easy to recline to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy can be opened to allow netting for optimum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate mum or dad's heights.

If you're planning a quick jog or a long hike, the Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide greater stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit in car boot spaces or storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebars are a bit higher than some competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for smaller parents. However, this stroller is sturdy and adaptable and should be considered by families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

Red Kite's Pace is a top product from the affordable British brand. They are renowned for their well-designed, no-fuss products that are essentials for parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to their budget-friendly stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so it can be used from birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design features, including the rose gold tint of the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which really set it apart from its rivals. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are super fashionable and there's the option of adding a co-ordinating leather handle for the cover and bumper bar as well.

The stroller seat is used from birth up to a maximum weight of 22kg. It easily converts into a reversible 2-in-1 position, either facing the parent or facing the world. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests, and an extendable sun canopy that has concealed zip sections with a view-through flap, and retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which is perfect for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. Two buttons on either side are easy use and click into place.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter wheel width, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tried it out alongside my two kids - an infant and an eight week old - over the rocky roads as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.

The large, puncture-proof wheels - either 22cm or a bit larger - can handle a variety of terrains. The wheels come with an opening that can be closed or opened to let air in when required. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, yet does not feel heavy or bulky when you are pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric can be machine washed, and the faux leather frames and grips are easy to clean. It's also much quieter than some pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it in busy city streets. It has built-in accessory points so you can attach footmuffs and parasols and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single pram however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra legroom. It took about 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're looking forward to an early morning run in the cool air or a stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a memorable one. This all-terrain stroller was designed to keep both you and your child active.

The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires provide a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The patented suspension system enables you to glide effortlessly on trails in the woods, while minimizing impact on the legs and back of your child. And the reliable performance disc hand brake allows you to stop quickly, even while running downhill.

The Ridge is at its best in every city scene, from bustling farmers' markets to the street musicians performing music. Its spacious basket accommodates your finds from the market and all the essentials for your baby while the large canopy provides sun and wind protection. The large front canopy opens to reveal two peekaboo windows that allow you to observe your baby's surroundings.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to decide whether your child will face you or the world ahead and its simple foot brake system is a breeze for parents who are new. One of the best features is the reversible handlebar which allows you to adjust it to your height and preference. The Ridge's fold, unlike other strollers, is stable and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

iCandy’s new pushchair has many features that will impress parents. It comes with a Multi-Mode Wheelbase and a groundbreaking LED Hub Light, which is an industry first. It features an integrated Ride-on Board that saves on future costs, and allows tired toddlers to join the family when they go on excursions.

The Core can be bought as a single or as an entire travel system. it is compatible with all the popular car seats from brands like Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It also comes with the largest seat unit in the iCandy range, so it will last your baby's first years and beyond. As with all iCandy pushchairs, this one is luxuriously designed and is made of premium knitted jersey fabric. The child's removable bumper bar as well as the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The fold-away calf supports are also extremely comfortable for children.

I was awed by the ease of fold and collapse - it only takes one hand, even with the seat unit in place. It fits easily in your hallway or boot, making it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core comes with lots of additional accessories, including an rucksack that matches the colour of your choice and a footmuff/liner.
